I thought you might like to see this little sequence of shots taken in June.

My daughter Sian has always been good with roller coasters & rides and ghost trains n stuff, a real little dare-devil...we thought.

I think she met her match on the Tower of Terror.

By the time we got into the "lift" inside the ride she was in tears. I think we wound her up just a wee bit too much.

The way the staff scowl, and look down their nose at you and smirk when they see the fear in people is really well done, it all adds up in eyes of a five year old. Anyway we all screamed our way from start to finish, great fun. The problem was that Sian didn't stop screaming when we came out.

I felt REALLY guilty as she was getting unconsolable. So we had to get some ice-cream quick (see the remains on her dress) and get to another part of the park quick. Ahh the Aerosmith Rockn' Rollercoaster next (not for Sian of course). As we waited for her Mum to go on the Aerosmith ride, I started chatting with a couple sitting next to me. Sian had recovered now and was buzzing with confidence having just survived  the scariest ride on earth. She couldn't help herself as she told this couple what she had just been through.....over and over and over and over again. The couple were doubled up with laughter at her (I'm not sure how much they actually understood). I couldn't help myself either but had to run off a few shots of her in full flow as she enthused of her bravery and how this lift drops down thirteen floors and ghosts pop out everywhere .....over and over and over and over again!

I know kids can bounce back quick but this was ridiculous. (Funny thing was she was scared of our Hotel lift for days after it!)

I hope you don't think I'm too cruel taking such a wee girl on this ride, you've got to toughen them up a bit eh?

Awwwww what an adorable story,Anthony. The poor wee thing!

I experienced something similar at Disney. It was on the chairlift at Blizzard beach. That was where I discovered how desperately and pathetically afraid of heights I am. Don't tell anyone, but I bawled like a baby up there,lol...not unlike your sweet Sian....except I was not a child, this was only a few years ago, lol.

Nothing like good ol' Disney to kick in a few phobias, lol.

Thanks for sharing your story and these precious photos.I'm sure Sian will cherish them and her lovely (wink) experience, forever. :^)

I first thought it had to do with taking her pic and you wearing that ski mask!

Neat shots and glad she is going to like seeing this again sometime.      Tom.

Fun series of shots...

When my son was young he begged me to go this ride...then half way thru..begged to get off of it..

As he got older..it became a game..what rides can I get my Dad to go on....Eventually..he won..I went on one too many things that spun around and turned me upside down..

Maybe it was the food too............

It's still fun to tease him about , now that he's an adult of 22....

"It was on the chairlift at Blizzard beach" .....Malene you reminded me of another wee story....

Sian was really taken by the little lizards everywhere in Florida. Especially the one with the little red flash under its chin that used to sit at the same spot by the pool.

I was telling her (in a sort of Father/ Daughter way) that the lizards sit like that to warm up as their blood is cold. She gave me a sideways look and said "Like a Lizard beach!".

So I take it you didn't go down"summit Plummit" then? Jeez thats a big drop. I clocked 56MPH!

This picture was taken as they closed the park -yet again- for incoming thunderstorms....almost everytime we got chucked because of the weather. You can just make out the chairlift from hell just below the summit plummit.

Thanks for all the responses.
