Subject: New Here and Question re AsielFX training DVDs,

Hello everyone,

I am extremely new to 3D and especially Vue. I have been using PSP for four years and felt I needed a challenge and boy did I get one here. LOL I just purchased Esprit but am upgrading probably tomorrow to Infinite. Although I absolutely do not know what the heck I am doing. But I just love what this programme can do and am willing to really try. I need your honest opinion on the above noted training DVD's. There is one apparently called getting started with Vue 5 Infinite and as I am spending so much on the actual programme I'd rather not waste my money if the DVD is not good. I would love to speak to someone who is as new as I am and has tried it. Just wondering if it's ever sold on EBay so I can get it a bit cheaper?  I would appreciate any help I can get. I have checked all over the net but the tuts I've found are pretty difficult for someone who has NO clue. LOL Thanks again and I truly appreciate your help.

I purchased the set of AsielFX training DVDs and wish I hadn't. It might be good for newbies, but IMO none of the advanced stuff is anywhere near worth the money. There are plenty better tutorials here at Renderosity.

They gloss over a bunch of stuff, (not even sure if they completely understood it), and frankly even got some stuff wrong. When I asked them about it, I received a curt reply, and they never responded to any other inquiries afterwards.

I don't usually poopoo products, but I really feel I didn't get close to my monies worth from them, not to mention the very poor customer support. If I were you I'd stay away.

Hi Marcella,
I am a newbie Vue user like yourself and I have to disagree with chipp. I was completely lost with Vue and purchased the full set of training dvd's and found them very useful at understanding the program. I will agree that they are expensive,  but as far as learning from them I am happy with what I learned from them.
I also found the tuts on the net difficult, I say if you can afford them go for it. IMO it was worth it.

I bought them, and found them very helpful as well.
