Subject: Set the target back to the origin?

Hi All,

A simple question, is there an easy way to set that target thing back to the origin?

I still click with the left mouse button and it moves the target.(I simply wish all objects would create at the origin and the target could be turned off)

Well Shift-S will bring up some snap options, one being "snap cursor to selection". This will return the cursor to the center point of the selected object. Seems like there is a way to make the cursor return to the center of the 3d view but I can't remember.

In Edit mode and Front view use the LMB to place the target back to the center. Switch to Side view and again use LMB to set target to center. Press Sht-s then select from the pop-up Snap Cursor to Grid. And I wish there was a way to lock it too.

Thanks I'll give it a try.

Perhaps I'll visit the wish list on the blender site and ask for a disable target option. I have been resisting flipping the mouse button functionality as I have read in manuals, but I have learned on Max and Maya and left click (god damn it) is select.

Sorry about the profanity, It was all in jest. Funny, you can;t really convey sarcasm or whit via text, it just comes out wrong...

Shift-C?! You mean I've been going through all that every time I want to put the cursor back to the center when all I had to do was push Shift-C! I've really got to print out that keyboard short-cut reference chart.
