Blender F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 24 8:44 pm)
The answer to both questions is use empties.
Make an empty the parent of all object's you wish to translate/rotate/scale together. Be aware that if you translate/rotate/scale each object seperately, it will translate/rotate/scale from the (parent) empty's center.
Likewise with lights and cameras, only parent the object on the empty, and parent the empty on the camera/light. You can even do that to just a region or vertex of the object.
To simply parent any object to another object--select the objects you wish to form a hierarchy for---use "Control-P" or spacebar/Object/Parent/make parent. The last object selected will be the parent.
Thank you dweomer, trying your sugestion I found that what I wanted was the track function, it's what I wanted for the camera and light, the empties is perfect for my first question, now I don't know how to "untrack", I can "unparent" but don't work in the same way to "untrack"
Sorry my english if I'm "inventing" words...
In the latest version of Blender (2.42) we can create object groups. Just select the objects you want to group and press Ctrl-G. To select a group, Shift-Alt-RMB on any member of the group. The highlights will be green. Here is a link to the docs on Object Groups.

Another way to make cameras or spots follow an object is to use the tract-to constraint. Select the camera, then shift-select the object, then press Ctrl-T and choose Track-to constraint.
As usual there are many different ways to do things in Blender :)

Maybe this are fool questions, but I can't find the answer in the User Guide :blushing:
How do I group objects so I can move and scale them all together, or create a parent for a group of objects.
How can I Point a spot light or camera at an objects so if I move the object the light or camera follow it.
Is it posible in Blender?
Thank you.
