Subject: Blender 2.42a Unable to find the Subsurf option

Touchwood ( ) posted Sat, 12 August 2006 at 5:11 AM · edited Sun, 28 July 2024 at 10:00 PM

I am completely new to blender and have been following the tutorials to get myself familiarised with it. However, in several of them there are references to the subsurf option for a mesh object but I am at a loss at this point because this version doesn't appear to have it. Is it called something else in this version or hiding away somewhere else. Any help appreciated....

Subsurf is now a Modifier. You need to go to the Editing panel set (F9), and add it to your mesh by clicking on the "Add Modifier" button.
