Blender F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 23 6:26 am)
Ive found a way to save a "new" file - copy an existing file, open it, delete everything and its a file that has a name and a path, and is saved already. All well and good in the mean time...
but can I copy a model, or existing objects in an unsaved file over to a file like this....otherwise I'll lose the model
Is there a copy - paste facility? I haven't found it
There's a python script that can do that here: http://uselessdreamer.byethost32.com/object_copier.html

Can anyone shed light on this problem - first, when I have been trying to save , blender was giving me all sorts of unusual paths to save to - seemed like it was creating new directories within directories, within directories . . . then I re-installed blender - and now it will only save blend files that are already on the server or on my PC, but will not save NEW blend files.
This is a problem . . . .
