can someone suggest some shader settings for getting anywhere from silky smooth to rough cape like textures for me? i'm clueless where to begin for that sort of thing...i can get rough textures just don't know how to get smooth silky like textures.

thanks in advance.

There are some nice looking shaders here:

Look for "16 Glossy Silk Materials for P5 - Repost" towards the bottom of the page.

and possibly some here:

look for "Tabala's-Fabrics P5/P6" also at the bottom of the page.

Is this the sort of thing you're looking for?

I think what he wanted was the actual settings and what to use / numbers to create more realistic looking fabrics on textures he's using.

I'm gonna have a play and see if I can figure something out. A lot of it depends on the lighting so my clothing settings tend to vary a lot. (i.e. leather look in one set of lights looks too shiny in another)

Yeah. The examples I posted were an attempt to see exactly what he was going for before I tried to come up with something. :)
