Subject: [semi OT] - Software advice

Hello,

Shortly after I got involved with Poser, some 2 years ago, I bought a small Wacom tablet which came with PS Essentials 3.  I have been using it, and enjoy the neat tools.  I am upgrading my computer, and while at it, I was thinking of buying Photoshop CS.  Now there is also the full creative suite for about $4-500 more.  Is it worth the purchase, or just pony up for Photoshop?  As for intended usage, I do plan to make textures for characters, clothes, and props; however, I also like to design things, and am somewhat interested in Illustrator.  Does anyone have any advice on this?  Thanks, -Starkdog

Attached Link: Xara Xtreme

I use Xara Xtreme for my Vector needs.   There is a beta plugin that I'm testing that will import PS files with layers in tact and back out..... let me check that..... Yup, works mostly well.   I got a bug I need to report actually but knowing Xara they will fix it post haste.

See the web address above in case your interested in taking a peek at the product....

Other than that I use PSCS2 quite frequently for my 2D graphics needs!! 😄
