Subject: Really slow connections and page loads with Renderosity

I don't know if it's just me but I am having a really hard time getting into the Renderosity website it takes forever to connect. When I do finally get in, and then go to look at a 'What's new' product to view the product's pages, the load times are soooo slow that I get close to giving up. Is it just me or are other people experiencing this problem?

It could certainly be faster, but I think the real performance problems are in the galleries, where the speeds are sub-tectonic.

What kind of IP connection do you have.  Here in Israel, most of us now have fast cable.  It didn't use to be that way, but former Prime Minister Binyamin Natanyahu did some realy great things.  Now, just about every household here is connected to the Internet.  It's one way for a small besieged country NOT to feel so closed in.

PS.  This page loaded pretty fast.  But I have a NEW duel core computer, and a 1.5 mb cable connection.  This wasn't always the case on my older computer, even with the very same IP connection.  And the past three days, Content Paradise has been unbelievably slow even with brand new hardware.  So, all this is food for thought.

CP will speed up miraculously, once the free Poser 5 thing is over (which it very nearly is now).

Congratulations David.Have you moved to Poser 5/6 with your new PC? and if so, how are finding the difference from Poser 4?

Thank you **ashley9803**, your well wishes are most appreciated. As for P6, no, not yet.  I find the P6 work space so indubitably cluttered with dodads and gilhickies, that I'm reminded of the cockpit of the space shuttle.  For now, I still do most of my composing in Pro Pack.  I have though decoded and adapted Jesse to function in Pro Pacek.  But for now, I render my scenes as tif's and then postwork them in photoshop.  The above link is to one I did just this morning, and have posted in my gallery.  Comments and critiques are most welcome, and the invitation is genuine.
