Dear Gordon;
Too bad the fly didn't come with a human head and arm, like in the movie (not the remake).  I liked the movie, but was saddened that it didn't have a happier ending.
Personally, I detest films that insist on reflecting the pessimism of reality.  For that, I don't need to pay good money to see a film; I line it on a daily basis.  For me, I want my art and my entertainment to uplift me, and trans port me to a happier plain, where after a decent amount of time and effort people overcome their difficulties, and where hope of a better future abound, and where things turn out al right in the end.
For if reality is eternal pessimism, then what's the point of living?  Rather, it's the HOPE for a better future that gives us the strength and courage to strive to improve the present reality, and make it and the world a better place to live in.  AND THAT IS WHAT I WANT TO SEE REFLECTED IN BOTH MY ART AND MY ENTERTAINMENT!

Yep. I watch movies strictly for their escapist value. I get enough reality reading the news every day.  I HATE downer endings.

It could happen!  Dunno when. I don't seem to get vacations very often. My day job ate my summer this year. I sent my family for a week on Lake Michigan while I was working 56 hours a week and cartooning in the evenings. Managed to do Disney World last year. That seriously broke the budget.  But that was a first fly-away-somewhere vacation for a LONG time. I was in Japan for two weeks a few years ago, on business. That somewhat resembled a vacation. Had a great time.  Ate things I STILL have no clue what they were.

I need to figure a way to make money with this tooning. THAT would help.  :laugh: Who knows?
