Well at last I've done it. I just bought a Canon EOS 20D. Theres a whole lotta learning coming up I think. Good to see lots of DSLR threads in the forum recently, this is where the forum really comes into its own, the amount of information, tips hints and links that are available here are amazing.

Anyway I'm off to buy a lens now, no time to waste,  the camera should be here Tuesday.

The only thing is I'm completely sick to my back teeth of looking through Ebay pages.....worth it in the end though I paid just £460 for the camera,  and its taken only 1000 pictures or so.

Now I need to trawl through the myre of lenses...God help me...I'll be bidding in my sleep soon!

Can't wait to start posting shots from it. Does anyone else here use a Canon 20D? I'd like to check your gallery if you'd let me know.

Monday morning wont seem so bad now!

Night all.

A very good choice, and at that price some extra money for a good lens or two

Congrats to you - hope you have many happy hours: using, learning and buying it things :D

It is a fine camera indeed - I have a 30D which is the same camera to all intents and purposes.

(Not all my gallery is shot with this though as I use a compact cam quite a bit).

Congrats on the new camera... and good luck with the lens hunting, it is a very important part of your set-up.  Have fun learning it all, and welcome to the bottomless pit of expenditure on just that extra bit of kit or that lens you simply MUST have ;)

My most recent shots are with my (recently purchased) canon 30D - check the exif files for exactly which ones - i always have them attached.
