Is there a way to add point lights in p5?

can't remember, but don't think p5 has "point" lights, only "infinate" and " spot" lights, "point" lights came with P6, so i don't think they will transfer back to p5!! guess the info/data supporting them wouldn't be there.

Hi!

Are you talkin about pointing lights at objects?

In that case choose the light you want to use, then go to "object" and "point at" in your top menu.

If this is not what your after I apologize.

What I was doing is put to spot light at the same location, point them to opposite direction.

Then, you can edit the angle of the spots to put them to 180 degrees... It's fake, but for most renders, it's working fine.

All lights in P4 and P5 act as a point source (they eminate form a point rather than being difused from a surface), but I have a feeling this is not what you mean. If you are looking for an omni-directional light, this can be faked by using a number of spotlights. You could try my "P5-Omni-12" in the Free Stuff.

Actually the lights in P4 and P5 -can- be switched from Infinite

to Point mode, but it's not on the menu.

My good old Light Panel script will make the choice available in P5.
