Subject: Things Disappearing in Vue4

dstephany ( ) posted Tue, 26 September 2006 at 5:55 PM · edited Thu, 28 November 2024 at 10:44 AM

A couple days ago, I purchased LooseComb Hair from DAZ and when I tried applying it to Victoria and import her into Vue4, it disappeared. Any idea what might be causing this ?? Thanks!

It happens sometimes with some props. The workaround is to save them separately, import them in Vue and position them there. It's a little clinky but it works.

Could you maybe tell us what Poser version and what Vue 4 version? I think not all features for Poser (especially Poser 5 or even 6) were available in the times of Vue 4. Sounds a little that this is one of those cases.

Well, I was using Poser 5 but I also own version 4 if that would work any better and for Vue, its version 4. Wabe: I'm somewhat confused, you say save them seperately but the LooseComb Hair is a prop so how would I do that exactly ???

Actually I was the one to suggest that :)

Simply open a new scene in poser, add the prop and save the scene as a pz3 file.
You can put props in a scene without a figure in them.

Hey agiel, when you say "save them seperateley," you mean save them together, right?  It sounds like it, and yeah, that's what works for me: save your whole scene in Poser and then load that from Vue (make sure the pz3 in in Poser's application file).
