Subject: Looking for a utility...

... that will help me clean up my runtime folder.  There are a bunch of items I don't use anymore, but trying to delete the associated textures and/or geometries can be confusing and a pain.  I don't want to delete the wrong stuff by accident, so I'm wondering if there is a utility out there that can help me tidy things up some.

Any help would be appreciated, as I'm pretty sure I've seen something along these lines before... many moons ago LOL

What you might be thinking of is P-un. Do a search in the free stuff. I happen to use 3Dpo explorer. It's slower but allows me to check the file associations, especially obj files so I don't mistakenly delete them. Same with texture files.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Thanks so much!  I knew I'd seen something that would help :)  Much appreciated.

What I usually do is:

  • dig out the original file
  • unzip or install it to a separate folder
  • using that as my guide I  go into my runtime and delete the files manually

I repeat the process for any other packages I want to delete from my runtime.
