Winter that is...ugh ugh ugh!!!! :b_crying:

Last night the snow started coming down hard and god knows how many accidents there´s been so far. :m_licklips: That´s why i´m now getting ready to go to work a few hours ahead of time so that the ambulance-personal at least have a fair chance of finding me while it´s still not dark outside. :tt2: But first i thought i´d show a few shots i took this morning when i was walking Eija.

First one shows the same place how it looked yesterday....and how it looks today. You guess which is which. 😉

How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is supposed to be fire and brimstone?

Crickey is right, not like that here either! ;^P These photo were taken this past weekend. Still, I find it beatiful, perhaps because I never see that here. Thanks for sharing those first snowfall shots and indeed, drive safely!

It´s not fair how our spring lasts 2 months....summer 2 months....autumn 2 months...and then...KABOOOOM (yes...Batman sound-effects are still the most illustrative ones)....winter 6!!!! This Nanook is seriously thinking about emigrating....strap on the sleigh behind the reindeers and head on south for the winter. :tt2:

Yup...that actually makes me feel alot better Rozanne, LOL. Thank you. 😉

Well it tries to snow up here but it has been being 'globally warmed' before it can actually build up. It's tried twice here and don't stay around long enough for a piccy...just stays friggin cold...sigh..and uncharactistically damp....go figger...

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down

Nope, never seen snow in my life "sigh". I'll be hitting the 40+ degs soon. Then I'll be doing a snow dance.

52hr weekend at work! bloody hell! sorry to hear that Andreas:)

Take it easy and hope your time at work passes very quickly.

Never seen snow??? Awwww!!! Well i suppose it´s pretty at times....but mostly it just means alot of extra labor....shoveling your driveway, sweaping cars clean, defrosting your dogs paws etc etc. And since last year i´m not that fond of driving through it either. :bored:

Now it has turned to rain though....which really sucks. Oh well....soon enough we´ll have -30C and i seriously doubt it will rain then.

Snow already?Awwww.Poor Nanook. Here if snow turns to rain that's a good thing...but I guess where you are that means ice.  :^(

It's been really warm here,(in the 70's),but it's gray and rainy and windy,so it's not very pretty.

Thanks for sharing the photos.Sorry you have to work so many hours and hope you get home safely!!!

Ouch!...that sucks Andreas!   But if it's any consolation, we'll be getting the same here shortly....been rain, rain, rain/snow, snow, rain, mist, fog, snow/rain, and then more rain for the last two weeks.  Fortunately the snow has not stayed on the ground yet though.

52hr weekend working?....that double sucks!

LOL I knew before opening this thread this is what you meant Andreas.
Cool....So what's wrong with a bit of snow. It makes awsome photos.
I can't wait for us to get it.
Looking forward to your D200 winter scenes.

Oh Andreas... I can feel with you... Normally I love snow ( quite contrary to my husband, who always says winter is no season at all, its only good for cold feet and way to short days), but snow this early is no fun, especially if it means to get up even earlier than normal, cleanup your car, drive real slow and careful and having to work 52 hours for the weekend... Maybe it helps a bit to know that there are other parts of the world not so far away, who have the same seasonal problems... The pic below was taken in January 05 in our front yard... the little black pin is the rear windscreen wiper of a car... So wishing you all the best for a safe trip and a save return to your home and RR!

:b_unbelievable: Ooooh! Now that´s ALOT of snow!!!! Thank you all for cheering me up. 😄 Not that much snow left on the ground now though....most of it has rained away to Eija´s dispair. I like snow when it´s resting peacefully on the ground and the trees.....but the actual snowing...  that i can do without. Would be just dandy if all the snow could come all at once so that one only had to shovel the driveway once ya know? The option on the other hand would be to get into another car accident i guess.....because last year all my neighbours shoveled the driveway for me when i was "incapacitated" :tt2:
