I'm trying to get a hold of this freebie:

It used to be a freebie on the Mayadoll site but now its a broken link.  However, the only place I can find it is a Japanese forum that is impossible to register with (Yes, registration is required)  :S

I realize this isn't a Renderosity issue but can anyone help me with this?  :S

The site is in Chinese.  Brianna for MayaDoll is also featured as a RAR download, but surely this is a commercially-sold product ?  I don't understand why the downloads are being offered in this way.

Seeing as there is no logical explanation for how a Chinese bbs could legitimately be offering free downloads of a Japanese commercial product,
I would recommend avoiding it. You should also notify Handspan Studios (they sell Brianna for Mayadoll).

gigi, while not commercial, isn't offered any more; i believe teppan ceased to offer his wonderful freebies some time ago.  his site is stil up and full of images, maybe you could contact him through it?  i can't find an email, but he does have a blog.

I was able to register and access the downloads. Since there is some question as to the status of the items offered, I won't post any hints. I sent an IM to HandspanStudios regarding the site since it does look like the Brianna may be the same as theirs. Of course, if it's in the PRC, any efforts at copyright enforcement may be problematic, but maybe not.

The one I dl'd in 2003 was MD_GIGI001.zip

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.
