Subject: Poser 6 and Windows Vista?

Hey everyone.

I just got Windows Vista RC2 installed last week, and I installed Poser 6 (of course), but whenever I try to fire it up, it just "stops working" and closes.

anyone has a solution to this. I really want to get back to making sweet sweet images, but I don't want to go back to P4 (which works fine.)

I have an idea that it might be the OpenGL that's at fault.

my specs are:

Windows Vista RC2

AMD Athlon 1400 processor

ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 256 mb

1 GB ram

if anyone could help me, I'd be eternally grateful :)

and i'm sorry if this has been covered. I tried google and searching the forums, but nothing came up.

Sounds like a graphics card issue.  I have the same problem ANY time I run P6 on my laptop which uses a graphics card not fully OpenGL compliant.  Maybe the drivers for your card haven't been updated yet.  You might try turning off graphics acceleration and see if that fixes it.  Like me, you'll be relegated to a slow experience, but it might just be a stop-gap measure until updated driver come out.

It's probably those default Vista drivers that's causeing the problem then.

I wish ATI would pull their thumbs outta their a...I mean their mouths and get cracking on a compliant enough RC2 driver.

Thanks for the reply Whoopy :)
