Ummm... I think this turned out too spooky.

It's not a rendering, but a photomontage of my cat and I into a halloween ... thing...
Really quick and dirty one I whipped up in 10 min or less while I was thinking about a new avatar...

Woohoo! Very nicely done Conniekat! Excellent composite and a great idea. Happy Halloween to you!

Thanks :)
Well, I just threw it together in Photoshop, really quickly... It's not exactly a major technical feat.

I thought it would be kind of cute spoof for a halloween mask, and making fun of myself wanting to be a cat / impersonating a cat / being on my way of becoming a crazy cat lady or somesuch thing....

But, I had second thoughts, maybe it's too over the top. Sometimes I'm having a hard time judging those things....  or, taaaaaalk entirely too much... time to shut up, I think....   It's a girl thing... we taaaalk.... [shut up already Kitty and go look at the gallery.... !] :P

But how is the cat coping with the experience?

Smooth job on the composite.  Too bad masks cannot look that real.  Without spending a Hollywood sized budget.

"The Cat", Tigger is happy that she got the 'uber spot' since that's the only spot fit for the princess.

She made a point to tell me... "if I don't like the menu and the treatment in the house, I'm going to eat you, just like the picture suggests!"

Then she sprawled on her kitty bed next to my keyboard... anywhere else would be too far away from petting!  She trained me well.

A fishtank against the wall in the computer area would be cool... Like.. Kitty-TV ;)
I like the colorful tropical fish floating by. There's something calming about watching them.

Fish tanks are used for treatment of folks with cardiac problems; watching them reduces blood pressure.  I love your picture. It would make a good Halloween avatar. But there's certainly Nothing wrong with the one you're using!

spot on! we aquired one because A it looks cool and B it's relaxing to watch the fish! we're goin for water of a temperature of 24C degrees, so im guessing the fish will be sorta tropical? I'm not the fish expert lol. But i'll find out soon enough, my colleague's sister is experienced at keeping fishes so im guessing she'll be able to point out the best fishes to get.

It's not a major technical feat....yeah right, that's coming from someone who can use photoshop...shhhh.

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

Get a big fishtank, i'm talking something that is 6' x 2' x 2', add some gravel and rocks to it with a good filter system, place 6 Oscars(yes they are fish) in it and i can bet my life on it that there wont be a minute go by that you don't see them doing something different.

I had 49 fishtanks, 7 at home and 42 in the shop which had everything from fresh water to salt water fish in them and yet the best tank i had and enjoyed sitting watching was the big one with the oscars in.
