Subject: so how does the actual release of V6I work?

I mean for us that have or are in the looooong process of getting the pre-release of V6I, do we have to go through this long and painful process again when the actual release comes out?  Or will it be more of an update?

I'm getting ready to give up with this download, V6I_downloader isn't coming down at all, I've been trying for two days, almost 8 hours of clicking a link in total and I'm bored.  Come on e-on, pull your thumbs out!!!

I really think this will be my last purchase from e-on if this quality of service continues.

argh!

Rich, ever thought you were not the only one downloading Vue?

Regarding your question, though I can't be sure, but I think it will just be an update.

Rich, if you have any experience of E-on at release time, you would have done what I did...wait for the full version to be released ;-) For me there is not enough incentive to go through the hassle of pre-release. I may have paid that much if I know I was getting a free box, manual and CD at full release...but usually when I beta test software, the company rewards me for my efforts...I certainly wouldn't expect to pay the company for the privilege!

Cheers

...TOTALLY AGREE Cheers!... Yes, what a DEAL! $50 off, No MANUAL, NO CD's, and you get to be a BETA-TESTER!...heh!

Yes, V6i looks really great, from what I've seen so far, but once you've been around the Beta-Testing Block, as I have over the years, (and from the V5i purchase to beta-test experience- NOT EVEN called "pre-release"..at LEAST they are being honest about it this time!)...

Much better to just wait- after all- the deadline for getting a pre-release is DECEMBER 1...! ...By then TONS of CRAP will have hit the fan and E-on will be dealing with it- and re-stating it's offers, etc... LIKE- Are the TONS of Down-Loading "Pre-Release" users REALLY going to be happy when they finally REALIZE that they don't have a PRINTED MANUAL, REAL CD's- and have to PAY MORE for them...the same deal that the LATE BUYERS get???

...I've learned that being a LATE-BUYER with E-on gets you the BETTER DEAL.. The price will be even BETTER in January or February- once all the initial screaming and Hoo-HA has died off...

---then the discount prices start...
