Renderosity Halloween Contest 2006 - Winners!

Halloween is a tradition celebrated on the night of October 31, most notably by children dressing in costumes and going door-to-door collecting sweets, fruit, and other treats. Apart from this trick-or-treating, there are many other traditional Halloween activities. Some of these include costume parties, watching horror films, going to "haunted" houses, and traditional autumn activities such as hayrides, some of these even "haunted". [From Wikipedia]

This year's Renderosity Halloween Contest was a great success! We received over 500 entries and they covered the whole range of what Halloween can be. The theme this year was Wake the Dead and it was great seeing all the interpretations on it, from the scary ones to the funny, from the serious to the light hearted. The judges had a really tough time going through all the entries and picking their choices but they did it and the result is presented below. Big congratulations to the winners and big thank you to all who entered! Many thanks also to our generous sponsors!

Congratulations to all the winners........and a hearty thanx to all participants. Tho it was a tad tough picking amongst the over 500 entries, it was, in the final analysis, a lot of fun tho after viewing the prizes I wish't I hadn't volunteered...LOL

 

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound

Wahoo! Yay! Congrats, everybody! What a fun contest. I assume, of course, that I was the fifth runner-up, and you just ran out of prizes. :tt2:

Seriously, great job, everyone, and especially to the judges. I hope every contest has that much participation.

I'll double check the contest rules... not sure what kind of jello shots they have from beyond the grave, but definitely worth looking into... :tt2:

Its jello in a single serving plastic cup, that was made using different types of alcohol instead of water....watermelon jello shots...yummo!

jello shots ROCK!!!  Never had a watermelon one tho :)

BIG CONGRATS to all the winners, and special thanks to all who participated.  All I can say is that I defintely think the judges had a TOUGH decision to make with all the great entries this one had.

Great job to all participants!  You're ALL winners in my book :)
