That's a very nice material. Was worried nobody was having any success.
Any chance you could provide it for us to play with? Maybe we can use the function editor to get some more krinkles, or come up with some other fun variations.
And I already have next Sunday's challenge in mind, and it's a doozy!

Okay, I put the rice papers up on my art-hobby website. I have posted two materials. One material is translucent and the other is not. It took alot of tweaking to get the backlight and transparency to look half way decent.So, warangel, I enjoyed your challenge. Thanks for sharing. :)

Yeah yeah, so I am a few days late. So here is this week's Sunday Challenge...
Translucent Oriental Rice Paper.
The goal is to make a nice crinkly looking rice paper type texture that light will shine through.
Hopefully we can figure out a material together to do this that doesn't slow our renders to a crawl.
