Subject: Busting through paper

Hello :)

I'm looking for a tutorial of how to give the effect of "busting through paper".  Like a fist coming at you that was just punched through paper.  The edges would be torn and curled, etc...  Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Many thanks!

Debbie M.

Yes, there's an exact filter that does that - Xenofex 2 and it's the Rip Open filter.  Does just that. You can control where the rip starts and ends.

AND they've got a demo version that you can use for 30 days before purchasing which works out GREAT because I don't have the extra cash this close to Christmas.

There is also a very easy to do tutorial on this effect here:

WOW Noel, that is AWESOME!  The filter demo is only good for 30 days, so unless I see that it's worth purchasing, this is a GREAT tutorial for an alternative.

Thanks so much for chiming in and sharing the link!

No problem.  The entire website I mentioned has lots of good little tutorials for those times you need a certain special effect :)
