Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 30 8:14 pm)
I'm not the person to answer your question because of my inexperience with Vue, but whoever CAN help you is going to want to know more detail about your operating system, exact type of hardware e.g. processor, graphics card and the like. You probably want to gather that up and post it if you want help.
The ATI Radeon is an OpenGL compliant video card, Sari. One problem with laptops is that generally you have to rely on the laptop manufacturer to release driver updates for the video card and not the graphics card manufacturer. Also (and this is a big also), don't use windows inbuilt graphics card drivers...even if they include the model of your graphics card they do not support OpenGL!!
Cheers

--------------- A life?! Cool!! Where do I download one of those?---------------
I am running an ATI driver that I switched to with Vue 5I. Unfortunately when I opened Vue 6I I am informed that my graphics card is not capable of running all the features of Vue and asks if I wish to switch to software Open GL. My computer is at least 4 years old so I think this has some bearing. The newer cards work well with 3D. Unfortunately I can't update my card.

I must first state that I am working on a non-open GL computer which may have some bearing in the running of Vue 6I. Yesterday I installed the latest update. I have been having problems with the main view showing a blank screen and I had hoped it would be fixed. Immediately I could tell something was not right. It was very sluggish even with a blank scene. With pz3 imports it slowed even more. I restarted Vue and tried again but I got the same results. In the meantime, my mouse went crazy (I didn't get that straightened out until today). I chose to revert to previous state and I was told it was successful. I restarted Vue again and I was told I needed to reinstall it then it opened up with my Vue 5I user interface. I closed Vue 6 and opened Vue 5 to see if it still worked and it did BUT all my VOB files were showing the Vue 6 icon. I opened the atmosphere editor and there was a still frame of the plant animation from Vue 6. I closed and reopened the editor and the still frame was gone. I then performed a full uninstall of Vue 6I and happily Vue 5I is still working.
Was it a bad download or is my computer not capable of running Vue 6I?
Thank you for any assistance you can give me. Currently I don't plan on reinstalling it until I can figure out what's wrong.
