Subject: Python22.dll problem

I started Poser 7 today and while launching, I got an error message stating that the program could not load because python22.dll is missing.  However, after clicking the "OK" in the error message a couple of times, the program does indeed load (thank goodness).  I'm wondering if this has anything to do with my uninstalling of Poser 6 today.
I did a search of my hard drive and found a python22.dll in my Vue Infinite folder.  Same thing?  If not, where can I download the proper one, and where does it go?

Is there a python.dll in your Poser 7 folder?

I checked the properties on the python.dll with my Poser 5.  It lists the Company as PythonLabs at Zope Corporation.  I would see if the same is true of the Vue .dll.  I suspect the .dlls are going to be constant, by version of Python.  So just pasting it into your P7 folder as a test probably can't hurt anything unless there's already a copy of the same .dll there to be overwritten... in which case you shouldn't get the error message.

Sorry.  I'm babbling.  I would copy-paste into the P7 folder as a test.

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking.  He apologizes for this.  He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.

Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below.  His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.

This suggests that you copied your P6 Runtime into the P7 directory.
The only way to fix this is to reinstall P7.
Before doing so rename your current P7 directory so that you can use the same name when reinstalling.
When you have reinstalled, just add the Runtime from the renamed directory as an external Runtime so that you can still access your previous content.
