Subject: Vue 6 Inf Crashes when Saving a Render to a file..

norm1153 ( ) posted Sun, 24 December 2006 at 12:39 AM · edited Thu, 25 July 2024 at 10:03 PM

Greetings:

If I have a Poser 7 figure (V4 in this instance) in the picture, after rendering to screen, it crashes when I attempt to save.  Right after it prompts for jpeg quality.

Has anyone experienced this?   (Thought I'd ask before putting up a tech support question at E-on; kind of curious if there's anything I can fix myself.)  I have installed both patches available so far to the pre-release.

Thanks,
Norm

No, I don't have this one. Do you have any post effect enabled?

No, just straight from rendering to saving to disk.

You say you have a P7 figure in the scene, buV4 is not a P7 only figure. I have no problem with her in Vue6, but I still use P6. Does it only happen with P7 scenes? If so, you may want to contact tech suppot and let them know.
Have you tried rendering to disk? Either with the internal or standalone renderers?

Oh, sorry; I meant using P7 with Vue6 Inf.  It was Victoria 4, coming out of P7.  Should be been more specific as to the figure and version of Poser.

Haven't tried rendering to disk yet, and I want to put up Rendercows on 2 other machines and try that.

I can save things when I render to the screen by doing a PrintScreen and then pasting into a photo editor, and trimming the picture out of the screen print.   But that's not terribly "elegant." :)

Yes, you're right, and it's not the way it was meant to be either. Try the rendercows, they render to disk now, hope it'llbe ok.
Merry Xtmas.
