Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 07 6:34 pm)
Had the same problem and the only way I could think of fixing it was to install the full version - there are a few more files missing too. You'd think that they could have made the installer more friendly but then they want to stick with Vise. But that's what we've come to expect from whoever is running Poser now, unfortunately. The program is great and I will not knock it for the price but poor help files and installers, these are your first impressions if you are a new customer!
The important thing is not to stop questioning.

Indoda,
Do you remember what other files were missing? When I report this, I'd like to give them as much information as possible from the perspective that SimonG2 is most definitely "Current Content" and should therefore be available in the Walk Designer without requiring a full install.
Were the other files also WD centric, e.g., SydneyG2WD, Kate2WD, Ben2WD, etc?
nruddock,
What else is in the ...... Walk Designer subdirectory? Are they *.cr2 or *.crz?
TIA,

Sadly, it appears to be somewhat more complicated than just copying the files over.
Since I have removable drives, I did a full install on another content free drive as a test. Suddenly, the Walk Designer loaded in with all kinds of G2 variables for things like Elderly & Tough, as well as the usual P6 variables, so it's apparent that the concept of "Current Content" means something different to e-Frontier than it does to me and other English speaking people.
Thanks for the input though. "It may help when I write them." he says dubiously.

After a P7 install of Current Content only, I attempted to use the Walk Designer. Received a "Find File" message looking for SimonG2WD.cr2 (yes, cr2). A search of my harddrives did not locate any such file. In closing down, the Walk Designer dialog stated it could not find:
RuntimelibrariescharacterWalk DesignerSimonG2WD.cr2
A further search of my harddrives revealed that there was no such subdirectory created during the installation process and there is no SimonG2WD.* anywhere either.
Since SimonG2 is obviously "Current Content," something is not right in the installer.
Could some of you take a moment and see if your Walk Designer is working and then report back what level of install you did so I can file a report with eF.
TIA
