Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 01 9:18 am)
You may be in luck soon. I think Andrew (TheNess) is preparing more Victorian themed stuff. Including Sherlock Holmes type stuff :)
Why is the things from TheNess not what you want btw? Is it just that THE item you're looking for isn't made or what? In that case a specific request will probably yield better replies :o)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.
Have you tried this 3d Prop search engine? http://www.whatever3d.com/

So what you're really looking for is the surroundings more than the props? Rooms, windows and such? Have you asked TheNess? He's actually a nice guy ;o)

I think tonymouse means clothing. The RDNA and DAZ 19th century stuff looks like Regency to mid Victorian. It would have been far more useful if they'd made late Victorian or even Edwardian clothing. It's a far more interesting period in history and fiction. I once looked for these sort of outfits, but I didn't find anything...

You so hit the nail right on the head!!!!
all the bodice-rippers seem set in the Regency period or thereabouts..;) go figure.
Poser Fashion had several different eras of dresses, but that doesn't help. The site (alas, gone forever) that had all this stuff was Lannie's 3d world. Tons of Victorian props, Bryce Mats, but it was hogged out of existence by download accelerators. You could probably use the Wayback Machine to pull up the text and pictures, maybe there's a links page that would point to some sites that may still be in existence. Slim thread, but it's all that comes to mind.

In a word yes!!! though, worn out textures are always a huge pluse but the style is exactly what I am taking about, well not so much the more western style ones, but the rest absolutly perfect!!!

Your Hansom Cab is absolutely wonderful! I accidently stumbled onto last year and I was blown away with the detail.
For those who haven't seen it, you can see the pictures in this thread;

Beautiful work on the Cab.
I created a new thread in the Marketplace Wishing well, refering to this one.
I can model some of the clothes, but I didn't get around to learning how to rig them for poser yet (in case anyone has complementary skills and wants to colaborate - we can talk)...

I'm at work right now so can't show you an image....
But I took PhilC's Victorian men suits for the P4 dork and used Wardrobe Wizard to fit Mike3 and they fit perfectly and look very much like late 1800's mens wear
Poserworld also has a great set that's really supposed to be for a Dr Who character, but has a kind of late 1800s look.
It's harder to find male Victorian clothes - there's a bunch for women models.
The April Ashley dress at DAZ is awesome for V3. The dress has excellent posing movement.
DAZ also has the Victorian coat and some era texture sets for the V3 morphing dress.
With Wardrobe Wizard I was also able to make the Aiko Infamous/Scandalous dress convert to V3 (while saving all the morphs) and fits great.
http://www.poserworks.com has an excellent London Cab - comes with their own horses.
http://www.runtimedna.com has a fantastic Whitechapel/Baker street set that's awesome.
Liteluvr also has a fantastic East End street set here in the MP.
Ness's work is fantastic - Acadia led me unto his/her stuff just recently
Geralday also has a ton of freestuff - some is Victorian themed
