I'm calling this 'The Last Shuttle Home.' I know there are a few things wrong with it, and I'd appreciate any input and suggestions. And, BYW, does anyone have a good method to make it look as if sand is blowing through the streets? The haze wprk well for the background, but I doubt fog would be as effective in front.

Inkwolf, I'm just a beginner myself, but here's what I would do: the first thing is the engines on the shuttle, it looks as if your looking right into them. I usually do the engine glows as post render touch-up in Photoshop. (See above.) Also, the terrains don't really look real. I would add a little frequency to the materials in the DTE, and maybe increase the bump just a little bit to make them not so smooth. (Just remember that increasing the bump takes longer to render, so BE GENTLE!) I would also try to bring out the planets (moons?) in the background, y'know, add a little more detail, make them stand out a little more. I'm really sorry if this sounds too negative, I'm really just trying to help. :) I do like the idea for the image tho'. "Last Shuttle.." sounds...lonely. As for the sand blowing in the foreground...ummm...Don't know, haven't progressed that far yet! :( (Boy, I am really ramblin' on here, aren't I?) Gotta' go! Good luck!

Or you could play with bryce on the engines.
