Subject: Am I well hung?

Sorry for the pun.
Trying to render a scene.
It seems the textures have loaded.
PCU usage is at about 50% and the memory being used is quite low (I have 2Gb of RAM). Maybe because the system has hung?
It sits there at "Adding Objects" and I don't know if anything is happening.
The PZ3 is quite big at 97,000 Kb, and I do have 2 lots of HyperReal skin shaders on the 2 figures.
Maybe I'm just expecting too much.

nah. Doesn't look like it. Now if it was at 99%, or 100, that'd be different. It's just going to take some time, it looks like. Let it run overnight if you wish, and revel in the joys of rendering that Bryce users have known for years. If the preceding tab on Task Manager isn't showing 'not responding', there's hope.

Think you're right pakled, but don't have the patience for this "overnight" stuff.
Removed one of the figures, it's now rendering. I will render two scenes and clone the scenes together in Photoshop, to put the characters into the one scene. Thanks for your advise.

sure thing. However, being a Bryce user, I've been known to sleep while the pixels are forming..;)

I'm all too familiar with that 100% and "Not Responding!"  LOL

Hopefully I'll never see that again because my shiney new computer is on it's way to me as we speak! It's being shipped all the way from Austin, TX and should be here Monday!  Yeeee Ha!!!!!!!!!!    hehe

"A shiney new computer"!!!
Did you get one for me too Acadia???
Hope it makes your work much easier and faster.
I doubled my RAM last week and it didn't make a huge difference. But it is noticeable.

Are you aware of the trick where you re-order the mesh with STOMP? The attached thread has the detail, although it's long.

Every once in a while, a particular prop or item will decide to "clog" the render, and make it stick.  Though poser does not say "not responding" it definately is NOT responding lol.  I've had this happen before, where removing the offending item (i never know what it is so try everything) and next thing you know, it renders in less than 30 seconds.
