Subject: Morph issues

Does anyone know the cause or the solution to parameter dials "freezing up"? Currently, I'm using Poser 7 although it's happened in Poser 6 as well. Here's my example: (this has happened many times.) I create a character face, export it as an OBJ. to use as a morph target for the head. I open up a new character and apply the new custom morph on the head, work the body, add the textures and save it as a character. I select a new scene and open the new character and test all the movement and expressions and it all works fine. Then later, I go to actually do some work and create a scene, I open the character and go through the posing etc. and when I get to posing the face, none of the parameter dials have any effect, so I get a character with a blank stare. Anyone have any clues why this is happening? Is it the way I'm saving the OBJ in the first place? Why would it work for awhile and then all of the sudden stop? Any help on the problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ritchard

Instead of exporting the .obj, try using Object->Spawn Morph Target on your head. This will add a morph parameter dial to your figure's head parameters palette. You can then reset all the other morphs and set your new morph to 1. Save the modified figure in your figure's library ready for later use. No exporting/importing of .obj files needed needed.
