We seem to be very popular here.

Yep.  Much to the frustration of some.  And totally against the doomsayers who have predicted over and over again that this place was on its way out due to mis-management, the wrong sorts of rules, etc. etc..  The doomsayers have been completely, totally, and utterly WRONG.

But I wouldn't hold my breath waiting to hear any of them acknowledge that fact. 😉  They'll just keep right on sniping........and whining.  And being sarcastic.

It's what they do best.

Big things are never done without serious opposition.

Ya know.......personally, if I want to succeed at something, then I think that I'd look to the examples of successful people.  Not to their critics.  Insofar as I can tell, their critics haven't accomplished anything to compare.  In fact, many of the doomsayers have mysteriously vanished.  Although a few still pop in from time to time.  But usually, they probably just take a look at the numbers, shake their heads, and leave in disgust.

This sort of thing frequently reminds me of one of my favorite literary quotes, from Time Enough For Love, by Robert A. Heinlein:

Quote - Always listen to experts. They'll tell you what can't be done, and why. Then do it.

That's a great quote, Captain.

Not sure its the doomsayers leaving..more the folks that originally started coming to this place when it first cranked up tired of the BS...the original community has left the building..at least a very good portion of them.

Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it.
Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together.
All things connect......Chief Seattle, 1854
