Subject: help with a dancing hippo

mikachan ( ) posted Wed, 21 February 2007 at 11:11 AM · edited Tue, 05 November 2024 at 12:06 AM

Hi! I'm working on a short cartoon with a dancing hippo, and I SUCK at making dancing poses. So I am looking for free animated poses that show and character dancing in pretty much any style. I don't care what model they're for, I'll tweak them to fit my hippo. Does anyone know where I could find these poses, or even a series of still poses that could be fit together to make a dance?? Thank you!

Thankyou so so very much!!

Mika

Thanks so very very much!!! Those will be useful. I'm still open to other ideas too, though.

Thanx again!

There is a set of wonderful dance poses for the House Mouse .... I think they are called "Mouse Can Dance" ... I don't remember where I got them, but they were a freebie.  Probably either from here or DAZ3D.  If I can find the link, I'll post it later.

Can't help you with the animation, but perhaps you want a morping Tutu?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice... Don't need a tutu, tho, it's a hippo in a labcoat. Her name is Dr. Potamus :P

Gee, I would love to have that tutu .... would it fit a mouse??

Yep, you can just scale it down, it's just a prop and it isn't conforming but it has some morphs to bent it in the directions you want. If I have some time I put it in the freestuf section.

Oooo, thank you.  I made a tutu for the mouse, but I would like to see how a morphing one works.

I only think I have to translate all the morphs in english, I used dutch for the names, would be a litlle confusing for the rest of the world I think.

Well, only for those of us who don't speak Dutch (although some of my ancestors were from that part of the world ....).

I finally had some time to finish the tutu-prop and packaging it.
