Subject: Vue 6 final does NOT disconnect from poser when ungrouped objects?

Lyne ( ) posted Sun, 11 March 2007 at 7:07 PM · edited Thu, 29 August 2024 at 11:36 PM

question...I am honestly experimenting in vue 6 final...I ungrouped and regrouped my poser imports...and today when I opened the scene file, it took a long time to open and then said the bit about "things had been modified, did I want to reload?".... all I did was DELETE that particular pz3 file when cleaning out my poser files...

Of course I said NO and the scene opened fine......but now, unlike vue 5, just ungrouping will not disconnect poser imports? What does?

Thank you for any suggestions.

I have this problem in Vue 5I. I was hoping 6 would break the link. The only way I've been able to get around it is by saving it twice. I import the pz3 into Vue and save it as a VOB with textures included. I then delete it and import the VOB I just created. When it asks for the pz3, at the bottom of the selection window, I change the pz3 selection to show all files and select the VOB. When it imports this time I resave it as a VOB. Naming it the same so it will replace the old one. It's probably not the right way, but it doesn't ask for the pz3 file anymore and you don't have to ungroup it.

Hmmm I never got that asking in my vue 5 once I ungrouped, REGROUPED and saved THAT as the vob in my vue objects... the odd thing with vue 6 is that is not only had I followed that formula, and deleted the pz3, it asked if I wanted the vob updated BUT also just noticed when I re-opened the vue 6 scene file IT DID NOT ASK AGAIN....so it was like it remembered?  LOL!!... and the strangeness continues! :)
