Suggestion Box F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 17 10:06 am)
This forum is designed for suggestions from the community on how you feel we can improve Renderosity.
Another idea for the galleries: Clicking on a member photo takes you directly to a Site Mail message addressed to them, or to the bottom of their hompage and the 2 message options there.

Oh, and one I made before, but I want it so badly I'll say it again -- eBots for Gallery comments that take you right to the comment the way the Forum eBots do. PLEASE! :'P

I would love it if, when I click on a member name anywhere in the site, it always takes me to the same place. I would especially like it if it would take me to that short list of types of things I could see about the member (gallery, store, etc). Even nicer would be if 'site mail' and 'email' would be added to that list.
Fractals will always amaze me!
I'd also like some support for real constructive criticism. I see so many horrid poser thumbs in the gallery that aren't even worth clicking IMVHO, but just ignoring them seems insufficient somehow. it would vastly improve the quality of work here, and the reputation of poser users at other 3d sites, if there were a way to direct artists to standard links that show how to correct their work. however, in the absence of such links, there isn't a constructive way to do this at present. in addition, get rid of the photomanips. it's just sad when a chap downloads a photo from a porno site, deletes the background, photoshops it, then acts as if it's a work of art.
how about a separate Fetish category ? that kind of stuff doesn't always fit nicely in another category (I suppose it could go under portraits :) )

A multi-tiered rating system would be nice.
Instead of one "one through five" rating, perhaps break it down into categories>
And for each of those ..
Needs improvement ... Not bad! ... Average ... Honorable mention ... Outstanding
@Deecey -- Good ideas, but they would not all apply for each genre or category, ie.: Pose and Expression for Landscape Photography or Terragen. Implementing different rating systems for each genre then each sub category is probably out of the question. Personally, I find having a rating system a bit archaic and unneccesary considering how it is used currently. Better to have members leave constructive comments instead. Wishful thinking, but it would be nice.

Hi,
Just a few ideas.
Could I have a preferences page for the things I regularly search for in the Galleries and with boolean searching, for example:
Search for all new poser and vue images BUT NOT those with faeries and NOT food and NOT portraits. This would only need a page like the user profile page for our interests and software. A "default preferences" search would then return all images that match all of our favorite topics.
This suggestion will be controversial BUT I think it might be an idea to introduce a 2 layered Gallery. One for (self assessed) beginners and one for (self assessed) experts. Users would define themselves (or it could be decided on the ratings system) but other members could ask moderators to assess and then upgrade or downgrade artists who are in the (perceived) wrong level. The number of postings mean that many members do not have the time to browse for what they would like to see.
More content advisory checkboxes to categorize an image (similar to nudity and violence tags) so that it is easier to search for OR filter images that, for example: do/do not have postworked hair, do/do not have a single figure, do/do not have postworked clothes, do/do not use shadows, do/do not have young characters, do/do not have animals, and so on.
Thanks for listening.
Jovial.
