I made a cloth simulation for a dynamic dress. The simulation has created 30 frames. The problem is that I only want the 10th frame. If I save the file as a pz3 it save all the 30 frames. What can I do if I want only the 10th frame to be saved in the pz3 file?

Hope i'm clear enough!!

Thank you

Patrick

Hi patboudrum,

Using the Animation Palette ...

Click & Drag around Frame #10 and then put the cursor inside the white outlined box and DRAG it to Frame #1.

Now, delete all but the first frame.

The easiest way to delete all but the first frame is:
( at the bottom of the screen )
Use the
"Frame 00001  *of *  00030 " ... click on the 00030 and change it to 00001.

Save your .pz3.

This seemed to be such a usefull tip, but I cant get it to work.
Am I supposed to do the "Click &Drag" and  the box dragging in the animation sets tab? When I do that and I look at frame 1 - nothing changed,  it is stil the initial setup.
My cloth simulation has the initial default pose in frame 1 and a final key frame at frame 30.
If I follow the above instructions in the "key frames" tab I can move frame 30 to frame 1 , The pose moved to frame 1 but the clothing items are in their initial state not the end of simulation shape.
If I spawn morphes from the dynamic simulation and apply those to the "new" frame 1, it works and then I can delete frames 2-30, delete the simulations and save as pz3. But how would one save a middle frame that wasnt a key frame, as in the original question?
Patrick, did you get a chance to try it and did it work for you?
Thanks
Pnina
