Not sure about Vue since I still have XP, but I do know that openGL drivers are still flaky for Vista.
You will have to check out your video board manufacturer for Vista drivers and make sure they can run openGL if you want Vue's acceleration to work.
I have Vue 6 Pro Studio and am running it on Vista Ultimate 32 bit with no problems. Just be sure to install and run it as admin to avoid problems finding files. Check my gallery for some recent Vue 6 works done in Vista (everything back to "Just Hangin' Around").
P.S. The stuff about "flaky" openGL drivers for Vista mostly affects motherboards with integrated video at this point. nVidia and ATI have had their act together in Vista for months now (at least compatibility wise...performance is another issue altogether).

I can only speak for 32 bit versions, but these work fine on Vista.
Actually vue is nearly the only application that works fine with vista, many others already had errors while i tried installing them. For example i couldn't install Vista Pro 4 or 3D Studio Max 4.

I have Vista and have no problems, but definately runs as administrator, I couldnt get it to use the rendercows without running it as admin.

I guess I am fortunate I have no installation issues with Vue 6 Esprit with modules, as I installed Vue with Administrator Privledges into Vista x64. As agiel states if you have the NVidia Drivers there are two versions under a new beta that will resolve most of the current issues with Vue, the others issues are minor and should not bother the app. Check out the NVidia Beta drivers 101.4 for x86 or x64.
The only problem I am having with Vue is Subsurface Scattering materials cause a massive memory leak when rendering, which casues Vue to lock-up and the OS to stop responding. Remedy, I do not use the materials, and Vue works fine otherwise.
My recomendation would be to purchase Vista Ultimate which is the x64 version and install at least 4 to 6 gigs of ram for best performance.
Another thing that is important when installing Vista, you must have the latest hardware, ACPI compliante, prefereably within the last two years, and it all has to be x64 compatible. Vista x64 will also install and run 32 bit x86 apps, they just do not get the speed and memory advantage that a 64 bit app does. Check out Microsofts Vista web site for compatibility issues.

I'm thinking of getting Vista on my PC but I am wondering how well Vue Infinite 6 runs under it. In particular the 64bit version of Vista but any info even for the 32bit version of Vista would be welcome. So if anyone can provide your experience with Vue Infinite 6 and Vista please do and please indicate if you are using the 32 or 64 bit version of Vista. Thanks in advance.
