I came across this Halo fan film the other day and man, it's just all kinds of awesome. Fan-boy heaven!
I thought the whole thing was rendered with the game engine until I saw some Kozaburo hair pop up. Any guesses on how he made this?

If you read the text underneath the video, the guy talks a bit about the process.  Although he doesn't state it, it looks to me like Zero-Suit Samus was made from Aiko.  You can find the Samus suit that was used in the freestuff section here, if I remember correctly.
