If you have v4 of PD Pro (aka Project Dogwaffle Professional version 4, now with the latest patch to 4.0c), you will want to keep an eye on the patches page for an upcoming new parameter in the particle brush system.
Age Decrement lets the longevity and size of particles get smaller and smaller right as you paint the brush stroke. New branches get thinner and shorter and it's a great effect for branches going into twiggs, or roots heading into the ground. Great for hair effects too.

Happy painting with Dogwaffle!
If you didn't get v4 from Dan's store, but you still have v3.5 (or 3.7 as the latest 3.x version patch), be aware that upgrades from v3 to v4 will increase from $35 to around $49 in a month or two. Upgrade early to save.
Also, if you got the liter version, PD Particles, we don't know yet if we'll put this new feature into it because it really also looks so much better when combined with forcefields, and those image based forcefields are only found since PD Pro 3.5
Still TBD.
