The glasses have actually been applied to the print itself with a sheet of PET plastic etched with tiny (sometimes as many as 200/inch), vertically aligned, planoconvex, cylinderical lenses called lenticules.

Advancements in Lenticular Printing have been numerous over the past decade thanks to technological improvements in digital capture, imaging programs, high resolution printing, lenticular lenses and now 3D imaging.
