Subject: Dear Admins, No image on web page

mccoyneil ( ) posted Sat, 12 May 2007 at 6:36 PM · edited Tue, 19 November 2024 at 1:15 AM

Dear Admins,
Now and again, after clicking a thumbnail, the subsequent web page does not show the image.  It is clear that there is one that others can see, because there are many posted comments saying wow, beautiful,etc..
The latest occurrence is "Just Blue" by rudi67.
The web page address is:
http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1438329
I am using Firefox 2.0.0.3 + Noscript with both Java and Javascript enabled and renderosity.com allowd by Noscript.
On this occasion, I tried accessing the page with IE7, and the image appears.
So IE7 is OK, but not Firefox.

The image I see is  oversized you have to scroll down and across to see  parts of it. kind of blurry on my end but still can see it.

Thanks for your effort SndCastie - Interesting that your display is different from mine.
I looked again and have more information.
It must be some sort of automatic picture resizing issue.
After opening the window, firefox very briefly
displays a large box outline where the image is to go.
Then firefox reduces the box to just one or two pixels high,
so that the image just appears as a single thick line across the screen.
If I hover the mouse over the line/image so that the cursor changes shape to a hand
and then click, then the full image displays normally in a new window.
Also, clicking "zoom in", which is easier to do, does the same thing.

That full size image is actually 2853 x 3949 /480.1 kb..looks pretty pixelated but I can see it on FF 2.0

You can set your prefs in your gallery options if you dont want to see all images blown up to full size upon clicking the thumbnail..that way you can then later choose to view the image larger by clicking the image itself.
