Is there such a thing? There's texture filtering, which you might be thinking of... it's set by each individual material:

Well, you mostly don't need to. If you cram too many figures into a small area, you might still have problems, in which case you need to decrease your bucket size. For example, if you, for some strange reason, have five V3s wearing a bunch of props and outfits way off in the distance, it could be that they all fall in the same bucket, and P7 will try and load all of them in at once.
But it's pretty unlikely.

No kidding! I can't find this setting anywhere in P7's interface. I've got to be overlooking it :P
Sadly, the P7 manual was most unhelpful.
