Subject: Merchant policy??

vincebagna ( ) posted Sat, 23 June 2007 at 1:11 PM · edited Sat, 15 February 2025 at 7:09 AM

I'm sure there is somewhere in this site a merchant policy.

I mean, if i want to become a merchant here, where could i find all the informations about the policy, the upload, the rules or whatever else i should follow to make it right. I clicked everywhere, but didn't find that.

Look over to your right Vince at the side menu...under Marketplace, click the "Selling Products" for info on becoming a Rendo merchant.

I realize I am asking a question that is unanswerable.

But

When a merchant makes a head / body inj, textures and out fit.

Do they sell 4 or 5 of them or is it closer to 50 or 60 of them is there a ball park number of sells any where ?

@RorrKonn:  This question gets asked fairly often.  I asked it once
myself, and found the answer frustrating.  But now that I've been selling
some stuff (at 3dCommune) I understand why there's no general
answer, even within one category.

Specific example: my 1950 Kitchen set has sold 5 times as many
copies as my 1930 Bathroom.  Both belong in the same category
(historical house interiors) and both have roughly the same number of
parts.  So why does one sell much better than the other?  Who knows?

RorrKonn,

It depends completely on the marketplace at the time you sell. I've seen merchants that haven't made the $300 mark after months of having multiple products in the market place, and others that have hit that mark in a week with one product! Both had what, I felt were equally good products, but one hit the market at a time when what they were selling (clothing) hit the mark, while the other, (also clothing) just seemed to fall thru the cracks.

I know there is no answer but thanks a lot for the info.

Any and all info is helpful.

Have no idea if I can make anything any one would want but it looks like a lot of fun to try.

I would be happy if I just sold one of something.

I am sure the bill collectors would want enough sells for me to actually pay the bills thou, lol

Ya bathroom looks really nice.as nice as ya kitchen.

But if I was making a G rated cartoons I could use the kitchen, living room.

Bedrooms maybe but bathrooms ya just never see a bathrooms in a G rated cartoon.

Sence ya have pages of free stuff and a few for sell stuff and don't even sell here.

I am guess sells is not a high priority.

I have no idea how ya feel about PG13 / R rated content.

But if I was ya sells man I would suggest getting a V4 taking a bubble bath in ya bathroom and use that as ya front thumb.

Trav

So all we need is a crystal ball that tells us when to sell exactly what to sell so we can hit the bulls eye mark ;)

I seen where Transformers are releasing a Movie that I can not weight to see.

But never see many mechs rendered here and there are only a few not all that great of mechs for sell.

So I was thinking if ya made a killer mech and a V4 INJ with a SciFi out fit and a futuristic gun would be fun.

I'm still learning Poser so won't have time to release it buy Transforms 1 but maybe buy Transformers 2.

Excellent idea.  I'll try putting some life into the pictures,
which is certainly missing.
