Subject: 2 dollars for Hexagon 2.2!!

donniemc0 ( ) posted Thu, 28 June 2007 at 4:58 PM · edited Fri, 08 November 2024 at 6:25 PM

the catch is that you must be a platinum member.

heres the blurb:

Hexagon 2.2 includes many stability enhancements in this feature packed release. It delivers all the tools a graphic artist needs to create complete detailed textured 3D models ready for final render. Features like Freehand modeling brushes, microdisplacement modeling tools, comprehensive UV-mapping module with UV-unfold, advanced 3D paint, and instant Ambient Occlusion are enough to make more expensive high-end softwares, blue in the face! Hexagon allows you to make a 3D reality of anything from your minds eye.

now i am certainly no modeler (wings makes me go cross eyed and that paragraph above might as well be written in sandscrit) but i thought what the heck...! for this price i might even knuckle down and learn sumthin about this prog!!

The reaction in the Hexagon forum is overwhelmingly positive, ecstatic even! The bug fixes in this new upgrade from ver. 2.1 to 2.2 have fixed a lot of annoying problems and made Hexagon 2.2 a lot more stable and fun to work with. Be sure to read system requirements before buying though because it takes a high-spec. graphics card to run Hexagon. I'd love to run it on my laptop, but the built-in graphics chip wouldn't "cut the mustard". Oh well, I can still run Wings on this old lappie.

Hexagon 2.2 Download Version
Reg. Price: $ 149.00
Sale Price: $104.30 Save 30% through 7/10/2007Platinum Club Price: $1.99

So like Pakled said you could buy Hexagon for $32 dollars, if you sign up for the Montly plan $29.95 + $1.99 for the Hexagon Platinum Club Price.

I dont buy enough content on a regular basis to warrant a Platinum Club membership.

I did the PC thing for Bryce 6. It was my first time joining the PC, and I got 30 freebies thrown into the deal. Don't know if they still throw in the freebies or not.
You can configure your PC membership to automatically cancel after one month. 😉

Sweet! I hadn't logged into DAZ since they did their "facelift" and I checked my available downloads and found that they had the ver. 2.2 download all ready for me since I had purchased 2.1 previously. Daz really has it's act together!  I am anxious to play with the new ver. with all the improvements.
Check out their videos too. Besides subdivision modeling similar to Silo's you can also paint textures on your finished models!
Thanks for the "heads-up" donniemc0. :-)
