Subject: changing V4 inside Carrara

Ok I have a reasonable enough grasp on how to use the modelers in Carrara now.   I'm working on a series in Poser that I will be rendering in Carrara.

So for each scene Ill pose in poser6 then open in Carrara5pro for rendering.

But I want to change some of V4s features for this - and they will be that way in many scenes that I do.  So what I want to know is - how do I alter V4 inside Carrara in such a way that I will be able to reopen that altered version in Poser and still pose her.  (tongue twister there).

Thank you in advance.

The best way to do this is to modify the original V4 obj file in your modeling application, export it as an a renamed obj, make a copy of the V4 cr2 and change the obj filenames in the new cr2 to match your modified obj. From then on, all the morphs, etc wil be applied to your new base obj.

LIghtwave preserves all the material and body part groups. Many apps do not. If Carrera does not, you can use UVmapper to reapply the material and boby part information (just don't ask me how, but this is how richardson uses ZB to mode Poser objs.)

Let me know if you have questions!
