Subject: Girlfriend for David (besides Stephanie)?

nontoxic ( ) posted Tue, 10 July 2007 at 6:37 AM · edited Wed, 27 November 2024 at 3:46 PM

I need to create a girlfriend for David.  I don't like Stephanie, but V3 and V4 are too tall.

I see that there are "height morphs" for V3.  Do these really work?  Are there any for V4?

What about character sets?  For example, there's "Aneta - Petite Character for V3." Does anyone know if Aneta is shorter than the V3 base?

Thanks.

The trouble with using the scaling morphs for characters is that applying the same scaling to clothing can give mixed results.

Have you tried using Aiko Realistic? Would she fit the bill?

Aiko 3  Realistic?  She can be pretty cute...  lots of nice A3 Realistic characters out there too!!!  Size wise (compared to David) she's your best bet in my opinion!!

Or you could do something radical, like using my remapped PosetteV3.  She's free, located here in freestuff, she takes any and all unimesh texture, and she looks quite stunnig.

I have the Wardrobe Wizard.  I could try shrinking the clothes that way, I guess.

Ahhh, Aiko.  I completely forgot about her!  I'll look into it.

Thanks.

nontoxic - I use scaling on my characters all the time, so far I haven't come across any problems. I suppose it depends on whether you are scaling the entire figure or just sections of the body to get a more ideal size & shape. If you want say a shorter & younger V3, yes, you can just resize the entire body but that can sometimes end up looking like, well, just a minature V3. Try shortening her legs but resize her torso as well to compensate. Also, if you want her to be young, chances are here head will be larger in comparison to her body so that would need scaling independantly.

Thanks Stormchaser - I see what you mean.  I'll play around with the scaling options.

There's also Miki.  Forgot about her, too.  Good grief - plenty of girlfriends for David out there!  :)

And a very underused figure: Ingenue Vicki by Jim Burton (maybe still available at CP). Petite (5'1"), slender, comes with a base set of clothes, takes V3 maps and morphs, and sexy as hell!
