NVidia has new Beta drivers if you have a mind to try something else, if your current drivers are not doing the job, for XP, 2000 32 bit, and Vista 32 and 64 bit.

I have taken the 162.22 Vista x64 Beta drivers for a test drive. WOW! There is a vast improvement over the 158 drivers. Fast Screen updates, better performance, no flicker, no black or gray squares, etc.

Concerning Vue; I could not Render many scenes, after the latest patch. However, now the application is behaving better with the newer NVidia drivers. You need a minimum of 4 gigs of ram, 2 on a x64 system will stress out the memory to 84% while rendering a scene, but Vue will not crash on my machine. According to the system, with 4 gigs of ram, resources stay at about 42% usage, during a moderate sized scene rendering.

It would appear that e-On and NVidia still have some work to do on memory allocation, but for the moment, I have fewer problems. Larger scenes may require more ram above 4 gigs until it is all said and done. Maybe that will improve when e-On puts out the next patch.
