Hi Davaris, There is no one-click button to do that but it is very easy to do. In the Shader Room open the shader (Target) that is going to be changed. Next, open the shader (Source) that you want to convert the Target to. Click on the highest level of the Source shader and Alt/Option drag the shader tree to the highest level of the Target shader. Your done! :D Mark
Thanks for answering Mark.
I was thinking of doing lots in one go, as one of my files is a bit of a mess. It has lots and lots of shaders with different names, but they are all the same colour.
I'd also like to be able to search for a named item and be able to assign a texture to the found ones, without having to group them together.
As an example imagine I have a room with 10 bunk beds and I want to change the colours on the legs to one colour. At the moment the only way I can do this is by grouping all of the legs together, which would take them out of their bunk bed groups.
Perhaps a plugin like this would be useful?
Pre-planning in 3d building is really, really important as you're finding out. When I build or create anything the first question I ask myself is, "How can I make this easy to change in my scene?" and then work accordingly. So, having "good" master shaders and groups that you duplicate is essential. There is a feature in the shaders worth checking out found in Complex -> Reference Shader. This allows you to create single shaders and then link them to many objects easily. So, when you change the master shader, all instances are updated. It's extremely useful when using procedural textures with the space set to Global. That way each instance of the shader looks unique but is actually the same shader! Mark

Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if it is possible to select a group of shaders and replace them with another shader in one operation?
