Hop over to C3D and you can -buy- that scene and see just how Philippe does it and reverse engineer to your heart's content. ;)

i dont have money. doesnt noone know how to do this? i would only need some simple settings for the clouds.

thanks

yep, just spectral atmosphere and clouds. May have to play with density and fuzziness of clouds in material editor, but just open a scene, add a spectral atmosphere and throw in some spectral clouds and add and object, animate and render.

ice-boy I have the scene if you want me to e-mail it to you.  I think it only works if you have Vue 6 xStream, but I'll send it to you anyways.  I actually used the scene as a guide for a cloud environment I was working on.

Sure, if you give me your e-mail I will be more than happy to send it to ya!

Betty - What scene exactly are you offering to send by email ?

lingrif ( ) posted Mon, 30 July 2007 at 1:51 PM

ice-boy

There is a freebie called Nightflight in the Scenes>Animations over at Cornucopia that should help you.

Just a reminder, Bettie - items that you've purchased from Cornucopia3D (or most any other store for that matter) cannot be freely distributed under license agreement.

lingrif, yes I was actually wondering that.  I thought it came with my Vue 6 xStream package, but thanks for reminding me!

agiel ( ) posted Mon, 30 July 2007 at 2:42 PM

Bettie - just to be clear, what Lingrif reminded you of even applies to anything that came with xstream, in particular sample scenes.

Bettie ( ) posted Mon, 30 July 2007 at 4:28 PM

K, gotcha.  Thanks for looking out guys!

I would try a spectral atmo and rework the cloud layers - meaning i would combine 2 or 3 spectral 'low clould' (same or different style, different thickness and whatever setting changes) layers in about the same height ... this way the cloud sections are reaching into infinite distance - definitely enough to animate for a longer distance and fast movement ...

thanks guys

this all is on the extra cd?

agiel ( ) posted Tue, 31 July 2007 at 7:02 AM

ice-boy : yes... the extra CD too. WHat I meant is that what you are getting 'for free' with Vue in terms of sample scenes, objects, etc... is not meant to be distributed to anyone else.

That content is part of your license to use Vue and depends on that license only.

For example, (and this is just an example), if there was a sample scene available only on the Vue Infinite extra CD, you are not supposed to send that scene to someone who has Vue Easel.

i get error with the sample scenes. i hate it when i have problems with my computer.

thanks for everyhing guys.
