Subject: Problems with import

Hello Guys!
I am new here in the forum!
I have an enormous possession when importing objects of Poser or Cinema4D for Vue.
An example: I modeled a Sky-scraper in Cinema4D and a character,
both are in his/her Real proportion, Sky-scraper for 508 feets (scale / 1/10)
and the character with 0,593ft. When I export all of them for Vue, be C4D or Poser,
each object opens in a different size, the character gets to be larger than the sky-scrapers.
Would anybody know as this to solve?
I will be eternally grateful!

My best regards!
Anderson

Hi Anderson,

first of all, what Vue version do you use? This is from a bit of relevance for a good answer. Second, have you switched off the automatic resize and center options in the import dialog (or in the preferences, when you use an older Vue version)? This is essential as you can imagine. Third, switch off all related settings in the preferences - "Center Vue objects when loading" for example.

If all this does not help, the common trick is to use a cube in Cinema that defines the maximum of your planned scene and always export/import (into Vue) this cube with the actual model. Then all resizing and centering will be used for this cube so that the rest will stay the same. After importing you then simply delete the cube and be happy.

One day your ship comes in - but you're at the airport.
