Jenstar, there are plenty of tutorials that will help guide you in the right direction, you only need Google search to find thousands. If you’re interested in particular facets of Photoshop such as creating clothing for Poser figures then you would need a third program such as UVMapper to render out a template of the model which you can then bring into Photoshop to design your clothing. You can get tons of advice and tutorials by conducting forum searches for those particular software packages here in Renderosity.
To get you started check out the attached link. If you just want to get some CDs and videos then scroll down to the “Tips and tricks pages” section. Enjoy and good luck!

Okay, it's not a degree, but it's education galore!

If you're really serious about it, get yourself a membership - yes it's worth it!
First off, you'll get a subscription to Photoshop User Magazine with tutorials all throughout as well as your standard reviews, some articles, etc.
They have touring seminars throughout the year with various instructors. Each tour will have a different "track" - one of them I attended was with Bert Monroy about using the Pen Tool (until then I was completely mysified and terrified of that freakin tool - now I use it almost every day!), one was by Davidd Cross about corrections and manipulations, etc.
While I don't know anywhere you can get a "degree" in Photoshop alone, this is the next best thing as far as education - and yes, you even get credits for each completed seminar - dunno where I'll USE them (I own my own photography business, who am I gonna impress...?), but I HAVE them :-)
I hope that helps - good luck-
-Lew ;-)
Adobe has their Certified Expert and Certified Professional programs. I'm preparing to take mine sometime in 2008 for Photoshop and Captivate after my current classes are over. They have several levels: Associate, Professional, and Expert. Adobe also has a ton of tutorials to get you started.

To reinforce thundering1, Photoshop User is a great site.
Pixel2Life.com also has some great tutorials, as does CGSociety.org
These are just a few of the many onine ones, but also don't overlook what your local community colleges may offer - many of the resources there can let you interact with local user groups as well as get a certificate in a particular discipline. Many desktop publishing certificate programs include Photoshop and Illustrator as part of their core classes. Typically with certificate programs you can complete in 2-4 classes.
Hope this helps,
